PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device retrieval system by which a device learns the address of a device retrieval server when the device is installed even when the device and the device retrieval server are present in different sub-networks and device information is automatically registered on the device retrieval server. SOLUTION: The device 20 is connected through a network to the device retrieval server 30 managing information on the device 20, and a master retrieval server 10 managing a relation between the device and the device retrieval server. The master retrieval server 10 uses a corresponding table of the device and a system and a corresponding table of the system and the device retrieval server to inform the corresponding tables to the device retrieval server 30 managing the device 20. The device 20 stores a device ID (Identification) and the address of the master retrieval server to decide the device retrieval server 30 at a management destination from the informed device retrieval server 10, and registers the information on the device on the device retrieval server 30.
