PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide inexpensively a light emitting display device which can change or regulate a light emission direction so as to meet users' preference in a simple manner. SOLUTION: The light emitting display device is provided with a light source 3 disposed within a casing 10 having slits and a light guide plate 4 disposed within the casing 10 in order to visually recognize the exit light captured from the vicinity of the light source 3 and emitted from exit surfaces 4B and 4C from the outside through slits 10D and 10E. The plate 4 has a plurality of sections 4D and 4E to be engaged and the casing 10 is internally provided with a pressing member 11 having an engaging section 11A to be selectively engaged with either of the plurality of the sections 4D and 4E and a pinching member 12 for pinching the plate 4. The exit direction of the exit light is changed by changing the posture of the plate 4 while pinching the plate 4 by the pressing member 11 and the pinching member 12. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
