PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gearbox casing for absorbing reaction from a final gear without increasing its thickness even when part of a case mating surface is formed apart from the final gear, while requiring no rib or cover for bubbling oil. SOLUTION: The gearbox casing TC has the case mating surface 11 part of which is formed apart from the final gear Gf for driving a differential device. The gearbox casing TC has a fastening bolt mounting part 12 for mounting a fastening bolt B1 provided near an intersection between a line along the direction of applying reaction from the final gear Gf and a line along the direction of dropping oil from the final gear Gf toward a strainer inlet S.
