PURPOSE: Provided are a pharmaceutical composition for the treatment of stomach cancer comprising a 9-27 gene inhibitor as an active ingredient, and a diagnosis kit for stomach cancer containing a gene sequence complementary to the 9-27 gene. CONSTITUTION: A pharmaceutical composition for the treatment of stomach cancer is characterized by comprising, as an active ingredient, a 9-27 gene inhibitor selected from the group consisting of an inhibitor of the transcription of 9-27 gene, an inhibitor of the translation of transcribed 9-27 mRNA, and an inhibitor of the function of 9-27 protein. A diagnosis kit for stomach cancer is characterized by containing a gene sequence complementary to the 9-27 gene.
