<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a universal key whereby an attached file can be browsed without the need for installing a program having generated the attached file to a mobile phone and other apparatus can browse the attached file so as to enhance the convenience by solving a problem of a system wherein a mail server converts the attached file that other apparatuses such as a personal computer cannot browse the attached file browsed by the mobile phone. <P>SOLUTION: Disclosed herein are: the universal key wherein a memory 4 of the universal key stores a mailer and a viewer operable by the mobile phone and, when the universal key is connected to the mobile phone, the universal key outputs the mailer and the viewer to the mobile phone, the mailer allows the mobile phone to receive electronic mail and store the attached file to a data storage area 42 of the universal key, and the viewer reads the attached file stored in the data storage area 42 to convert and display the format of the file into a format whereby the mobile phone can browse the file; and a data processing method employing the universal key. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
