PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new oxetane compound having excellent stability, an actinic energy ray curable composition having good ink stability and ink ejection stability, giving a recorded image having excellent curability, scratch resistance and adhesiveness and produced by using the new oxetane compound and provide an ink composition for ink-jet recording and an ink-jet recording method. SOLUTION: The oxetane compound is expressed by general formula (1) (R1to R6are each H or a substituent provided that groups of each pair of R3and R4, and R5and R6are not H at the same time).
