PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the noise of a generator by suppressing the vibration of a frame. SOLUTION: The generator comprises a stator composed of an annular frame 1 in which the Nc number of coils 3 are arranged on the internal peripheral surface along the circumferential direction and which is individually supported at the Ns number of support points spaced at equal intervals along the circumferential direction by the same number of stays 7, and a rotor composed of a wheel 2 which is arranged inside the frame 1 and in which the Nm number of permanent magnets 4 are arranged along the circumferential direction on the external peripheral surface. When the number of nodes at the time the frame 1 vibrates by a change in magnetic force that acts on the coil 3 from the permanent magnet 4 is set as Nd, formulae ofηNm±Nd =λNc (A) and Ns≠Nd/ξ(B) (η,λandξare positive integer numbers.) are satisfied.
