PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drying tower and a drying method, capable of saving energy required for drying an organic waste, and to provide a treatment system, high in energy efficiency, for an organic material. SOLUTION: In the drying tower for drying the organic material, there are installed an feeding hole 102 in an upper part of the tower for feeding the organic material, a stainless grating 115 for grating the organic material falling while decreasing a falling velocity of the organic material, an exhausting hole 103 in a lower part of the tower for exhausting the organic material, a ventilation hole 104 for introducing an air into the tower and a heater 106 for heating the air introduced into the tower and generating a drafting force. The organic material fed from the feeding hole 102 is dried by hot air from the bottom, collides with a knife edge 116 of the grating 115, falls while being disintegrated due to an impact and is changed to a dried fine integrated material when falling to the lowest part.
