PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an olefin polymerization catalyst which exhibits high stereoselectivity on the polymerization of anα-olefin. SOLUTION: This olefin polymerization catalyst is characterized by comprising (A) a transition metal compound represented by general formula (I) and (B) at least one compound selected from (B-1) an organic metal compound, (B-2) an organic aluminum oxy compound and (B-3) a compound which reacts with the transition metal compound (A) to form an ion pair.
