PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing agent of size, having improved fixity of a neutral size of an ASA (alkenyl succinic anhydride) to paper in a papermaking process, and reducing stain caused by the unfixed neutral size which is a cause of a pitch damage; and to provide a method for producing the paper using the adhesion promoter of the size. SOLUTION: A condensate of epichlorohydrin-dialkylamine, having 20,000-200,000 molecular weight is used as the fixing agent of the neutral size of the ASA (alkenyl succinic anhydride). The method for producing the paper involves adding the fixing agent of the size to a pulp slurry. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
