PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chair wherein the attaching of a seat plate to a frame is easy, and at the same time, which is excellent in durability, can provide a favorable cushioning property, in addition, is excellent in appearance as well, and for which the number of parts can be reduced. SOLUTION: This chair has the seat plate 2 and a backrest plate 3 attached to the frame 1. In this case, the front part of the seat plate is attached to the frame, and at the same time, is provided with a gap 30 for allowing the rear part of the seat plate to be warped and deformed in the vertical direction between the lower surface of the rear part of the seat plate and the frame.
