FIELD: analytical chemistry, vitamins. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to chemical methods for assay of ascorbic, dehydroascorbic and diketogulonic acids in their combined presence and can be used in analysis of fodders, foodstuffs, organs and tissues of animals and in other biological objects. Method involves extraction of sample with hydrochloric acid solution and quantitation of acids by reaction with 2,4-dinitrophenylhydrazine. Amount of dehydro- Ascorbic and diketogulonic acids in sample is determined using part of the total extract neutralized with chalk by the difference in rate of their decomposition with sodium hydroxide. Method provides assaying ascorbic acid and its derivatives in a single extract and it is based on using simple and widely available reagents. Method gives also high results in assay of diketogulonic acid especially. EFFECT: improved assay method. 3 tbl |
