PURPOSE: An apparatus for supporting strip cut correspondingly to width of strip is provided to cut width of the strip as always maintaining constant strip width cutting accuracy irrespective of width of cold rolled strip by adjusting position of roll for supporting the strip correspondingly to width of the strip during cutting width of the strip. CONSTITUTION: In an apparatus for supporting a strip whose width is cut by side trimmers according to requirements of consumer, the apparatus for supporting strip cut correspondingly to width of the strip comprises a base(10) arranged at the center between the side trimmers; a ball screw(30) horizontally installed on the base so that the ball screw is rotationally driven; a support roller(50) rotationally installed at the center of the ball screw to support the center of the strip; a ball bush(70) to which a stopper moved along rails(72) fixed to the base is fixed, and which is clamped to both sides of the ball screw so that the ball bush is straightly moved during rotation of the ball screw; and a sliding roller(90) rotationally fixed to the outer side of the ball bush, wherein the sliding roller variably supports the strip correspondingly to width of the strip.
