<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively utilize the power of a power source excluding a commercial power source. <P>SOLUTION: This power converter is equipped with an inverter 45 for converting a DC voltage into an AC voltage and feeding the AC voltage a load. Further, the converter is equipped with a first rectifier 43 which receives the AC voltage of a commercial power source 39 and rectifies it into a DC voltage, a second rectifier 47 which rectifies the AC voltage of a generator 38 into the DC voltage, and a converter 49 which steps up or steps down the DC voltage rectified by the second rectifier 47 into an objective DC voltage higher than the DC voltage rectified by the first rectifier 43. Output ends 43A and 43B of the first rectifier 43 and output ends 49A and 49B of the converter 49 are connected with each other by power lines L and L', and the DC voltage on either higher side of the first rectifier 43 and the converter 49 is applied from the power source lines L and L' to the inverter 45. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
