<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water-based magenta ink having good dispersibility of a coloring agent into water, excellent in long-term storage stability and discharge property from a nozzle and capable of forming a recording image having high quality and high durability in good fixability. <P>SOLUTION: The water-based magenta ink comprises (a) a self-disperse type magenta pigment containing 60-80 wt.% magenta pigment which is not sulfonated and 20-40 wt.% magenta pigment in which one sulfone group per molecule of the magenta pigment is introduced and (b) a water-soluble organic solvent. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
