<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a screen luminance control method and a screen luminance control method for a video processing apparatus for improving a luminance characteristic of a video signal in a highlight mode particularly. <P>SOLUTION: In the highlight mode, a pedestal driving voltage level is decreased and a voltage (luminance control voltage) level of the video signal is increased just for the decreased component. Thus, even in a circuit having a limit in a signal amplification factor, screen luminance is improved without changing the circuit and while preventing video from being saturated in the highlight mode. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
