PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metallic die for a filter molding by which the filter molding high in dimensionalprecision can be obtained by devising to be applied with a fixed pressurizing force even after the pressurizing force is released at a cooling step in a molding process of the filter molding. SOLUTION: The filter molding having a prescribed shape is manufactured by packing the metallic die with a raw material 6 consisting of a purifying component and a high-molecular weight polymer binder showing a low melt index and pressurizing the raw material-packed metallic die. The metallic die K is composed of a side die 7 for molding the side face of a filter, an upper die 8 for molding the top surface of the filter and a lower die 9 for molding the undersurface of the filter. The material 6 is packed in a cavity 10 formed by the dies 7, 8 and 9 and the dies 7 and 8 are fixed by a lock mechanism L in such a state that the material 6 is pressurized by the die 8.
