PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a rechargeable chemical battery protected against overcharge having at least one lithium-containing electrode, while hardly expanding the structure, the height and the volume of the battery, and to securely prevent overheating and the next breaking of the battery under all operation conditions. SOLUTION: The rechargeable chemical battery 1 comprises at least one lithium-containing electrode and a thin, flexible, and closely sealed casing constituted of two metal films or metal/plastic composite films mutually connected by an adhesive layer or a sealing layer.
