PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a boundary condition setting method in numerical analysis by a computer by which a highly accurate solution is obtained even when an arbitrary boundary shape, including a curved surface boundary and an oblique boundary is present in the numerical analysis. SOLUTION: In the boundary condition setting method, a boundary value in a boundary-containing element is analyzed by using the interpolation function of the element, a partial simultaneous equation including an unknown is obtained by a program. Wherein, the unknown is applied to the value of a node (for example, potential) located outside the boundary so that the variation of a pan function being an integral over the boundary of the square of a difference between the boundary value calculated by using the interpolation function and a boundary value provided as the boundary conditions is zero.
