PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a practical relay drive unit capable of easily realizing quieting down of a relay without a structural remodelling. SOLUTION: The relay drive unit is structured of a voltage setting circuit 2 capable of impressing an on-state stipulated voltage higher than a lowest operating voltage and lower than a line voltage and an off-state stipulated voltage not higher than a maximum recovery voltage and higher than a zero V, and a control part 3 having functions of impressing the on-state stipulated voltage at the on-state of the relay 1 (for example, the lowest operating voltage) and later impressing the power supply voltage, and of impressing the off-state stipulated voltage at the off-state of the relay 1 (for example, the maximum recovery voltage) and later turning it to the zero V.
