PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a bright line positional controller of laser marking device wherein an emission line can be easily made to coincide with a datum position of an object to be irradiated, and marking work with a high precision is enabled easily by one worker. SOLUTION: The positional controller is provided with a main body of a laser marking device which outputs a laser beam from a laser light source to a prescribed direction and irradiates a bright line with the laser beam at an object to be irradiated, a light receiving system 10 which receives the laser beam from the main body, on the object side, and detects deviation direction of a light receiving position to a light receiving datum position, and a communication means which transmits a deviation direction signal of the light receiving position detected by the light receiving system 10 to the main body, which is provided with a rotating means for changing a direction of the laser beam, and a controlling means for controlling the rotating position by driving the rotating means to a direction for eliminating deviation of the light receiving position, based on the deviation direction signal of the light receiving position which is transmitted from the light receiving system.
