PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly practical ceramic vessel used on an electromagnetic induction cooker which has no risk of cracking and becoming useless, even when heated using e.g. an electromagnetic induction heating cooker with a rated voltage of 200V, with no water in it. SOLUTION: A vessel body 1 comprises a base 1a comprising 70% petalite and 30% clay, and its apparent porosity and the coefficient of linear expansion are adjusted to≥10% and≤0.2% (at from room temperature to 1,000°C), respectively. The bottom part 11 of the vessel body has a thickness of≤6mm, and an electroconductive thin film layer 2 comprising a silver thin film with a thickness of≥20μm is deposited on the bottom surface of the bottom part. A glaze 1b has its coefficient of linear expansion adjusted to a value smaller than that of the vessel body. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
