PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing a liquid crystal display is provided to easily attach/detach a plastic substrate and a buffer substrate to/from each other using a high-resistance metal. CONSTITUTION: A metal layer having a high resistance is formed on a buffer substrate(100) and patterned to form a metal pattern(102). A contact layer(104) is formed on the metal pattern using epoxy resin. A plastic substrate(106) is placed on the contact layer, and the buffer substrate and the plastic substrate are attached to each other. Gate lines, data lines, thin film transistors and pixel electrodes(190) are formed on the plastic substrate to accomplish a thin film transistor panel(1). A black matrix(220), color filters(230R,230G,230B), and a reference electrode(270) are formed on the buffer substrate to obtain a color filter panel(2). Liquid crystal is injected between the thin film transistor panel and the color filter panel and sealed up using a sealant(310) to achieve a liquid crystal display. The buffer substrate is separated from the liquid crystal display using wet etch. The contact layer is removed. |
