PURPOSE: A liquid crystal display and a method for fabricating the liquid crystal display are provided to make liquid crystal molecules easily move when the liquid crystal display is driven at a low temperature. CONSTITUTION: A color filter panel includes a black matrix(43), RGB color filters, a passivation film(42) and a common electrode(51) which are formed on an upper substrate(40). An array panel includes pixel electrodes(38), thin film transistors and a passivation film(39) which are formed on a lower substrate(30). A heating plate(35) is attached to the back side of the lower substrate. A liquid crystal layer(41) is interposed between the array panel and the color filer panel, and a seal line(47) for sealing up the liquid crystal layer is formed at the edges of the panels. Current is applied to the heating plate to generate resistant heat so as to maintain a liquid crystal display panel at a uniform temperature. The heating plate is formed of a transparent metal. |
