PURPOSE: A system and a method for remote-controlling a bridge are provided to judge the safety and status of a bridge structure by evaluating a state of inspection members provided in the bridge structure. CONSTITUTION: A remote-controlling system for a bridge includes a plurality of measuring units(110) installed at predetermined positions of the bridge, a transmission section(120) for receiving information of the bridge measured by a manager, a management control server(130) connected to the measuring units(110) and the transmission section(120) through a network, and a manager server(150) connected to the management control server(130) through Internet. The measuring units(110) transmit measurement information obtained from sensors installed in the bridge to the management control server(130) through the transmission section(120).
