<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for connecting home electric appliances to a network, which enables only the user who has signed a contract to use the service provided by a provider over the Internet. <P>SOLUTION: A connection server 200 includes a networked home electric appliances setting information storage means for storing connection information necessary for connecting each home electric appliance 500 to the Internet (hereafter, referred to as ISP connection information) and an information limiting means for limiting to reproduce information on receiving the service information. The server 200 also includes a means for certifying a terminal identification with identification of the terminal (the identification number of the house where the networked home electric appliance is installed) when the networked home electric appliance is connected to the Internet, a retrieval means for retrieving the ISP connection information stored in the networked home electric appliances setting information storage means, in response to a request for ISP connection information from the networked home electric appliance, and a means for transmitting the ISP connection information to the networked home electric appliances which correspond to the terminal identification.
