PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sliding device that achieves long service life by improving rigidity of a scooping section and has extremely high practicality. SOLUTION: In the sliding device, a shaft 1 and a sliding body 2 relatively move, a load section 3 is formed between the shaft 1 and the sliding body 2, the sliding body 2 is provided with a nonload section 4 and a return section 5 for communicating the nonload section 4 with the load section 3, a ball 6 is disposed in a circulating section formed of the load section 3, the nonload section 4, and the return section 5, and the ball 6 rolls in the circulating section. The scooping section 7 for scooping the ball 6 moving in the load section 3 and moving it to the nonload section 4 side is projected on the return section 5 of the sliding body 2 toward the shaft 1 side. The projecting shape of the scooping section 7 is set at a substantially triangular shape in the sectional view orthogonal to the extending direction of the shaft 1. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
