PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filter replacement unit for an extruder which prolongs the time of replacement of a filter and thus can be expected to improve the efficiency of a molding process. SOLUTION: A foreign matter holding chamber 20 which accumulates and holds foreign matter G is formed in a movable mold 13. Thereby the time of changing over a first mesh M1 to a second mesh M2 can be made longer than usual. That is, the time of using the first mesh M1 is made longer than usual. In other words, the first mesh M1 can be used till the time just before the accumulation thickness of the foreign matter G in the holding chamber 20 becomes almost the same as the depth T of the chamber 20.
