PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an extendable image formation device with which stable printing can be done by keeping a distance between a printing head and a recording sheet constant also when a housing cabinet is extended. SOLUTION: In the image formation device with the housing cabinet which comprises a main cabinet 2 having a main platen 14 fixedly set for supporting a transferred recording paper, and an outer cabinet 4 which is arranged at either or both of right and left sides of the main cabinet 2 as a direction orthogonal to a transfer direction of the recording paper, and is set to be extensible in the right and left direction to the main cabinet, a tiltable auxiliary platen 16 is set at an inner bottom face of the outer cabinet 4.
