PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink ribbon cassette in which an ink ribbon can be replaced easily, and can be prevented surely from slacking between bobbins by retarding rotational motion of the bobbin when the ink ribbon cassette is unloaded from a printer, and a torque for rotating the bobbin is prevented from increasing when the ink ribbon cassette is loaded to the printer. SOLUTION: A member 4 for engaging with bobbins 33 and 34 to retard rotational motion thereof is arranged to engage with the bobbins 33 and 34 when a cassette body 32 is unloaded from a printer 1 and to disengage from the bobbins 33 and 34 when the cassette body 32 is loaded to the printer 1. The member 4 is also arranged not to impede motion of the bobbins 33 and 34 in the loading/unloading direction with respect to the cassette body 32. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
