PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce flushing noises by lowering the generation of a seal-breakage sound without damaging flushing capacity in a siphon bowl. SOLUTION: In a water closet bowl in which a trap drain composed of an elevating section and a lowering section is made to communicate with the lower section of the bowl, retention water can be formed in the bowl and siphon working occurs in the trap drain by discharging water from a water supply source into the bowl and retention water is discharged from the trap drain, the bowl has a pipe line section communicating a drain pipe connected to the bowl through a drainage socket and the top section of the trap drain, an open-close mechanism opening and closing the pipe line section and a control section opening the mechanism for a fixed time in the case of a bowl flushing.
