PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ventilating structure on a foundation suitably used for a unit building, having excellent workability and preventing the intrusion of small animals while securing ventilation. SOLUTION: A plurality of foundation packing materials 14 are interposed between the upper face 3a of the foundation 3 and the lower face side 13a of the unit building 11 to form a ventilating clearance 15 in a height direction. The clearance 15 is provided with horizontal strip plates 18, 18 horizontally extended with spaces set in the height direction to inhibit the passage of the small animals, and the horizontal strip plates 18, 18 are mounted to outer sides of the foundation packing materials 14 by fixtures 17, 17.
