PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a supporting device for an earth retaining liner plate and an earth retaining method making use thereof capable of eliminating perfectly industrial waste such as a waste concrete or the like and, at the same time, increasing workability such as installation and withdrawal or the like. SOLUTION: When boring is made while successively connecting a plurality of earth retaining liner plates 10 from an upper layer side toward a lower layer side in the case where a hole is bored in the ground, the liner plate 10a for the highest layer is put on a shallow excavated hole H in the case where excavation starts, and the supporting device of the earth retaining liner plate comprises the supporting device 12 of the earth retaining liner plates detachably fixed to the liner plates 10 while perpendicularly the liner plate connected to the lower layer side supporting by taking advantage of the ground around the hole H. After the required work, the liner plate supporting device 12 can be collected to reuse, and the industrial waste can be eliminated. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
