PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a form by forming a strip-like forming material into an assembly with a specified basis weight gradient. SOLUTION: The method for producing the form comprises the step of accumulating the strip-like forming material at partially different flows into the assembly. This method involves using a forming material feeder 1, which has the following scheme: A flow control section 21 installed on a degassing section 4 includes a plurality of packing sections 23 formed by plurally partitioning the space perpendicularly to the flow direction. Each of the packing sections 23 is so designed that a sidewall serves as a mobile part 25 movable parallel with a width 25a indicated by an arrow mark, and the internal cross-section area is altered by regulating the position of the mobile part 25 to control flow. Therefore, by forming the assembly 100 through accumulating the forming material at partially different flows using this feeder 1, the objective assembly 100 partially differing in basis weight can be obtained with the identical accumulation period of time as a whole.
