PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a martensitic heat-resistant iron alloy excellent in high-temperature long-time creep strength and resistance to steam oxidation. SOLUTION: This heat-resistant alloy contains 0.01 mass% or lower C (or 0.005-0.02 mass% C and 0.01-0.15 mass% Nb), higher than 10 mass% but 15 mass% or lower Cr, 0.025-1 mass% Si, 5 mass% or lower Mo, 5-15 mass% W, etc., further contains at least one element selected from among 15 mass% or lower Co, 15 mass% or lower Ni, and 5 mass% or lower Cu, and may further contain at least one element selected from among 0.15 mass% or lower Ta, 0.1 mass% or lower Ti, and 0.05 mass% or lower Nd, the balance being Fe and impurities. The composition of the alloy satisfies the formula, Cr+6Si+4Mo+1.5W+12Al+5Nb+8Ti-4Ni-2Mn-Cu-2Co≤15. The alloy is produced by subjecting an alloy with the above-described composition to hot rolling and to normalizing after heating at 1,050-1,200°C. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
