PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a casing with novel structure with a built-in electric motor for a washing machine capable of holding a lead wire for power supply connected to a power supply terminal of the electric motor in the casing easily, quickly and fixedly without requiring a separate member in the fixed holding. SOLUTION: The casing 10 of a closed structure with the built-in electric motor for the washing machine consists of a casing body 26 and a casing lid body 28; and a body side projection 52 and a lid side projection 54 are integrally formed on outer peripheral surfaces of the casing body 26 and the casing lid body 28. The body side projection 52 and the lid side projection 54 are cooperated to form an insertion hole 58, and a gap 60 is formed between opposite faces of the body side projection 52 and the lid side projection 54. Lead wires 24 and 24 for power supply for the electric motor 12 can be inserted into the insertion hole 58 through the gap 60. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
