DEVICE AND METHOD FOR DISPLAY MULTIPLE LANGUAGES

PURPOSE: A device and a method for display multiple languages are provided to support the multiple languages on a small terminal that is incapable of supporting the multiple languages on an OS(Operating System) level because of a low capacity processor. CONSTITUTION: A character extractor(110) extracts a character forming an event message written by a script language. A character table writer(120) writes a character table assigning an index to each character by arranging the extracted characters in a predetermined order. A code string generator(130) generates a message code string formed by the message codes including the index and a font table discriminator corresponding to each character forming the event message. A font ROM generator(140) generates an event message font ROM including the message code string generated to each event message, an ASCII(American Standard Code for Information Interchange) code font table formed by an ASCII code, and a character font table formed by the index forming the message code.
