<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an insertion mechanism capable of relatively easily plunging a card or the like, and of simply locking it, and to provide a connector or the like having the insertion mechanism. <P>SOLUTION: This insertion mechanism is so structured as to include a generally rectangular insertion opening 15 for inserting the card; a lock part for locking one end of the card inserted into the insertion opening 15 by a first card insertion operation; two nearly wedge-shaped small pieces 36 respectively provided for two other sides (a right-hand side and a left-hand side) defining the insertion opening 15; an expansive deformation part deformed by expansion of the insertion opening 15 by contact of the left and right sides of the lock sides (first sides) of the card 50 to respective second sides of the respective left and right small pieces generally parallel to the insertion opening surfaces to apply force in a second card insertion operation; and a lock part abutting on a part of the upper surface of the card 50 by restoring force of the expansive deformation part. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
