PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the external wall backing structure of a steel structure simple in structure, easily built up, reducing a cost burden, shortening a construction period and suppressing damage to a wall material in the case of an earthquake. SOLUTION: A plurality of backing studs formed of lightweight shape steel sheets are disposed at each floor. The lower end of the backing stud is supported and fixed to a floor slab by an anchor pin by a fixing metal fitting, and the upper part is slidably supported to the lower part of a steel beam by a runner fixed by a fitting type fixing metal fitting. An external wall material is fixed to the backing stud directly or by the a fixing metal fitting by a light fastening member represented by a tapping screw or a machine screw. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
