PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a constant-velocity universal joint capable of enlarging the maximum tilting angle of a shaft without generating a lack of strength when using this constant-velocity universal joint for a drive shaft of an automobile. SOLUTION: This constant-velocity universal joint 1 is provided with a pair of links 4a and 4b provided between a pair of shafts 2 and 3 extended on the same axle. Each one end 5 of the links 4a and 4b is fitted to the shafts 2 and 3 by center parts 7a and 7b provided at positions offset from the axis L of the shafts 2 and 3. Both of the other ends of the links 4a and 4b are connected to each other freely to rock. Since the center parts 7a and 7b are positioned offset from the axis L, three or more pairs of center parts 7a and 7b can be provided to surround the axis L without generating a problem about structure and space. With this structure, three or more pairs of links 4a and 4b can be provided in the circumferential direction of the shafts 2 and 3 with an equal space. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
