PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solenoid valve of reduced size to occupy smaller space without decreasing magnetic efficiency. SOLUTION: The solenoid valve has a solenoid part that forms a respiratory route 17. A yoke 11 that constitutes the solenoid part has a tubular shape with closed rear end, where a cutout 111 is formed for the attachment of a connector. A respiratory channel as the respiratory route 17 is formed along the axis direction in a middle wall 112 and a rear wall 113 formed as a low field area on an extension of the cutout 111 of the yoke 11, and the respiratory channel is connected to an oil reservoir 11b formed between the yoke 11 and a rear end face of a plunger. This allows oil from outside to flow into a plunger housing of a fixed core through the respiratory route 17. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
