PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prepare a hair cosmetic or an aerosol-type hair cosmetic causing no problems of flaking and container cloggings, having high setting power and moderate drying speed in use, and excellent in imparting the hair with moist touch feeling, smoothness and pliability. SOLUTION: The hair cosmetic comprises (A) 0.1-5 mass% of a polyhydric alcohol, (B) a methacrylic acid-based amphoteric resin or pyrrolidone-based nonionic resin and (C) 0.1-3 mass% of two or more liquid oils, wherein the mass ratio (B)/(A) is 3-15 and the water content of the hair cosmetic is≤2 mass%. The aerosol-type hair cosmetic is obtained preferably by incorporating the above hair cosmetic as the stock liquor with a propellant comprising (a) a liquefied petroleum gas and (b) dimethyl ether in a specific mass ratio so as to come to a specific mass ratio of the stock liquor to the propellant.
