DICARBOXYLIC ACID DIESTER COMPOUND AND POLYVINYL BUTYRAL RESIN COMPOSITION CONTAINING THE COMPOUND

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plasticizer having improved compatibility with polyvinyl butyral and provide a polyvinyl butyral resin composition containing the plasticizer. SOLUTION: The plasticizer to be used in a polyvinyl butyral is composed of a dicarboxylic acid diester compound expressed by general formula (I). The general formula (I) is expressed by R-(O-CH2-CH2)2-O-C(=O)-(CH2)n-C(=O)-O-(CH2-CH2-O)2-R wherein the multiple R groups are each independently a 1-10C alkyl; and (n) is an integer of 4-6. The plasticizer composed of the dicarboxylic acid diester compound and to be used in the polyvinyl butyral has excellent processability owing to its low volatility and excellent compatibility with polyvinyl butyral resin. The polyvinyl butyral resin composition contains the dicarboxylic acid diester compound and a polyvinyl butyral, and a laminated glass manufactured by using the composition has excellent mechanical properties and is widely used as a laminated glass for automobile industry, building use, etc. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
