PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent deficient mixing by reducing the effect of surface tension on a specimen liquid, in a specimen mixer wherein a second specimen liquid is poured into, and mixed with, a first specimen liquid housed in a minute specimen liquid holding part. SOLUTION: Water 7 of 5μL is poured into, and mixed with, a 1% sucrose liquid 8 previously housed in the specimen holding part 11b. First, a nozzle 51 containing the water 7 of 5μL is moved into the holding part 11b by a moving part 52. In this event, an end of the nozzle 51 is disposed in a position close to the bottom of the holding part 11b but not contacting with the bottom. Then, the water of 5μL contained in the nozzle 51 is injected into the holding part 11b under the control of a control part 53. Thereafter, the specimen liquid is sucked by 8.5μL from the specimen liquid (5μL of water + 5μL of 1% sucrose liquid) in the holding part 11b and injected into the holding part 11b.
