PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for arranging field crops designed to mechanically perform operation to arrange the field crops having various lengths, save labor and increase the efficiency of the operation. SOLUTION: The apparatus 1 for arranging the field crops is designed to pick up images of the side of a root part Aa of a Welsh onion A placed on a carrying platform 2a of a transporting conveyor 2 with an image pickup camera 26 of the apparatus 1 and judge whether the root part Aa of the Welsh onion A is a little to the left, right or nearly the same based on a virtually arranged position B with a judging apparatus 27. Furthermore, the side of a leaf part Ac of the Welsh onion A placed on the carrying platform 2a is held with a pair of holders 29a of an apparatus for arranging 25 to move the Welsh onion A held with a pair of holders 29a in the direction intersecting the transporting direction at nearly right angles based on the judgment information with the judging apparatus 27. Thereby, the side of the root part Aa of the Welsh onion A is arranged and corrected into a state nearly parallel to the transporting direction and a state in which the root part Aa of the Welsh onion is arranged on nearly the same line based on the virtually arranged position B.
