PURPOSE: A vehicle alternator is provided to prevent degradation of cooling efficiency by lowering, through the orifice formed at the edge of the front bracket, the temperature and pressure of the air discharged from the alternator. CONSTITUTION: A vehicle alternator comprises a housing(101); a front bracket(117) fixed at an end of the housing; a rotating shaft(107) protruded from the end of the housing; and an alternator pulley(109) and a cooling fan(111) coupled to the rotating shaft. The front bracket has an edge where an orifice(200) is formed in such a manner that the orifice has an entrance(201) formed toward the cooling fan is larger than an exit(202) formed toward the other end of the housing. The orifice has a funnel shaped cross section.
