PURPOSE: A liner inserting apparatus for high pressure casting is provided to support a liner to its regular position by the initial inserting of the liner into bore part of mold by installing a guide plate whose diameter can be variable in front of plunger block. CONSTITUTION: In a liner inserting apparatus for high pressure casting comprising a forward and backward movement operating cylinder; guide rods; guide block(13); plunger block(15) comprising a plurality of ball plungers(27,29); central pin(17); and insert plate, the liner inserting apparatus for high pressure casting comprises a gradient guide bar(21) axially slidingly installed in the slide hole by axially processing a slide hole(19) in the inner center of the plunger block and forming a gradient circumferential surface(23) which is integrally formed with the central pin, and one side of which is inclined to a certain inclination angle; an elasticity member installed between the gradient guide bar and the guide block inside the slide hole to provide the gradient guide bar with elastic force; and a guide means mounted on the outer circumferential surface in front of the plunger block and directly contacted with the gradient circumferential surface of the gradient guide bar inside the slide hole so that the guide means is cam operated to guide the liner as varying diameter of the guide means, wherein the elasticity member is a coil spring(25), and wherein the guide means comprises three guide plates(31) and three tension springs(33).
