PURPOSE: An automatic opening and shutting device of a tailgate for a vehicle is provided to improve convenience in using the tailgate by making the tailgate automatically opened and shut. CONSTITUTION: An automatic opening and shutting device of a tailgate for a vehicle comprises the tailgate rotatably installed to the rear of the vehicle; a lifter supplying external force tending upwardly to the tailgate, to make the tailgate lifted up; a lifter-moving unit(10) installed to the lower end of the lifter, to make the lower end of the lifter moved in the longitudinal direction of the body of the vehicle; a driving motor(20) supplying driving force to the lifter-moving unit; and an operation switch(21) operating the driving motor by applying the power of a battery(22) to the driving motor.
