<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mass spectrometry apparatus in which control of processing degree of charge reduction by ion/ion reaction and the efficient ion/ion reaction of high dynamic range can be carried out easily. <P>SOLUTION: This mass spectrometry apparatus has a first ion source to generate a sample ion by ionizing a measuring object sample, a second ion source to generate the reactant ion having the opposite polarity to the sample ion, and the mass spectrometer. The second ion source is arranged between the first ion source and the mass spectrometer, and arranged separately from the stem of testpiece ion stream emitted from the first ion source, and furthermore, the second ion source emits reactant ion to the testpiece ion stream emitted from the first ion source. By a simple constitution, mass peaks originating in polyvalent ions of a biopolymer can be simplified, and mass spectrum analysis can be made easy. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
