<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve reliability without increasing current capacity of a power converter, in a motor driving and controlling device that drives and controls a motor via the power converter to perform position control. <P>SOLUTION: In a door-driving device using a linear motor, for example, its reliability is improved without increasing the capacity of the power converter in particular, by providing a position detector 3 that detects the position of a moving part of the linear motor 2, a locking device 5 that mechanically locks the moving part of the linear motor 2, a position memory 9 that stores a position detection value where the moving part of the linear motor 2 is locked mechanically, an abnormality determiner 10 that determines that a current position detection value is abnormal, if a value obtained by comparing the current position detection value with the one stored exceeds a prescribed value. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
